Jesus loves the little children – all the children of the world.
Red and yellow, black and white – they are precious in His sight.
Jesus loves the little children of the world.
As I was settling my Little B down to sleep last night, I sang her this song and it resonated in my heart. Isn’t this true of Jesus? He does love us all.
Regardless of our differences; regardless of our races; regardless of our skin colors; regardless of our cultures; regardless of our professions. He loves us all.
In fact, He made us diverse. He chose our unique qualities that make us who we are. This morning, I weep over the state of our nation and world. This is the place that I raise my children. Where is this headed? Certainly nowhere good? Why is there so much hate and anger? Where is hope?
But, Sisters, we have that hope. We actually know how this all ends and where this is all going.* We know that our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back for a pure bride – His church – and He will make the wrong things right.
He will execute justice in perfect righteousness. We have that hope.
But our nation? Our world? It has no hope.
Every other source of security slips through their fingers because nothing else is sure or permanent.
Ladies, we have to be the city on a hill proclaiming: “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast…” (Hebrews 6:19a).
Yes! Our very souls are anchored in the hope that we have in Christ and the salvation He purchased by His blood on the cross. So now, may we weep with those who weep and mourn with those who mourn, but let us also offer to others this hope that our Lord has offered to us.
This is how a hateful and angry world can be transformed – by the love and mercy of a good Father.
*If you feel that you do not have this hope that I speak of, that you don’t know what this life is all about or what you were created for, or if you simply want to dialogue more about it, please send me a message. I’d love to chat with you!
Grace and peace!
